Condemned or Justified? That is the question.
At Wahroonga Presbyterian Church, we seek to show the love of Christ to all.
REMEMBER however, that God is not only loving, but also holy. Because He is holy He must judge and punish all sin. Therefore because he is holy he must judge and punish each and every one of us because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In our natural state we are all under his judgement and condemnation – even all our good intentions and good work cannot make us acceptable before God who is so holy.
BUT, because God is love, he provided a substitute who took the full judgement and punishment for our sins. That substitute is Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus took the punishment for your sin and to prove his acceptance of Jesus’ death for our sins God raised Jesus from the dead.
NOW God offers salvation and acceptance to all people who acknowledge and confess their sins and believe and trust God when he says you are accepted by him because of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
TO ignore or refuse to accept the salvation provided by God is to condemn yourself to be under God’s condemnation and judgement not only in this life but for all eternity which you will spend separated from God’s grace – that is in hell.
TO accept God’s salvation in Jesus, is to be forgiven and all condemnation removed. It means you are made a child of God with His loving and blessing with you, now and for all eternity – that is in heaven.
God is LOVING – yes – He is also HOLY. Are you currently under God’s condemnation or under his blessing? When you die where will you spend eternity?
The question is too big to be ignored. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a holy God.
Seek the Lord while you have time. Call on him and he will in no way turn you away.
